Hello,

I have just tested edubuntu in workstation installation.

1) I test from hoary, upgrading...
Upgrade is almost correct. After it i tried install edubuntu-desktop,
that fails because of uninstallable piece of software:

-----------------------
#LANG=C apt-get install edubuntu-desktop
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree... Done
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.

Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that
the package is simply not installable and a bug report against
that package should be filed.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
edubuntu-desktop: Depends: mozilla-openoffice.org but it is not going
to be installed
Depends: openoffice.org2 but it is not going to be
installed Depends: openoffice.org2-evolution but it
is not going to be installed
Depends: openoffice.org2-gnome but it is not going
to be installed
E: Broken packages
-------------------------

2) install from scratch (workstation)
Install is fine. Just note the workstation option for boot seems not to
be documented in boot.

'man' seems to be broken in french, something about unknown char 160...

after install there was some update. I have updated, and education menu
disappears. It reappers after logout/ re-login

GCompris is almost broken. It run hundred times better than hoary's one
but it's not completely OK :
gcompris administration menu show only empty rectangles, because missing
png file.
gcompris itself show some error dialogs, because missing icons: e.g.
tuxpaint laucher icon is not installed in gcompris.

If i understand correctly what was said on irc, this gcompris version is
a mix of 6.5.3 and 7.0pre1. It anounce itself as 7.0pre1. Please pack a
complete 7.0pre1, with all files.
If you let gcompris administration, you must pack a complete 7.0PRE1...
If not, suppress the gcompris administration menu.
If sqlite3 and pysqlite2 are in edubuntu, a complete 7.0pre1 build
should be easy.

3) LSTP
will be tested soon.

This is a great job, this edubuntu. I would like have a livecd version
of the workstation. Are you planing something like that.

Thanks a lot for it.
