there was a post a couple of day ago regarding a light
debian based distro that would serve in a client ,
server fassion ; I followed all the links and tried a
couple of them (ubuntilite.org , minigadalinex, etc.)
but they would not work properly on a pent 1 so I
tried featherweight http://www.featherweightlinux.org/

it is a free live cd based on featherlinux  with KDE
3.3, knoppix , debian but with TINYX as video server
The hard drive installable vercion can be upgraded to 
Xorg but it is not free (5 dollars donation) which I
payed and I coul not be happier it plays nice on a
pent 1 apt-get and all
I gess you can say is a cut down knoppix with tinyX.
