A game called Dasher

Today I've been reviewing the Accesibility tools to write an
introduction about them. I have got an incredible time with Dasher -
http://www.inference.phy.cam.ac.uk/dasher/

Dasher is "a competitive text-entry system wherever a full-size keyboard
cannot be used". Its primary use is Accessibility, yes, although it is
being tested to be a useful tool for PDAs and devices such as the Nokia
770 (problem: the small processors). A trained person can write about 39
words a minute, while you and me with a paper and a pen wil write about
29 as an average, they say.

But... I was thinking that in the context of Edubuntu Dasher is simply a
great game. You only need to show it to a kid and say 'let's see if you
can write you name in less than one minute', and then 'let's see how
many words you can type in a minute' and finally 'write down what are
you thinking now'. I'm pretty sure many would be challenged by this 39
words/minute. Seated 2 in front of a screen you may also play a game of
guessing what the other is about to write.

Have you tried yourselves? Dasher rocks! Please consider its addition in
the Games category. Seriously.
