Well, file format is one thing, and the translator GUI is another.  As
long as .po files can be produced, the translators should be happy.
You are probably aware that this is the format used by rosetta,
kbabel, poedit and all the other translation tools.

I wished all projects would realize that it is a bad idea to use some
home made file format for translations.
