Description:
 python-pgsql - A Python DB-API 2.0 interface to PostgreSQL v7.x
Closes: 219862 326159 337412 369250 373337
Changes:
 python-pgsql (2.5.1-1) unstable; urgency=low
 .
   * New upstream release (which simply formalises the patch for
     CVE-2006-2314; see below).
   * Transitioned to new python policy (closes: #373337), and now uses
     python-central.  The old binary packages pythonX.Y-pgsql are gone;
     all modules for all supported python versions are now contained
     within the single python-pgsql package.
 .
 python-pgsql (2.5-1) unstable; urgency=low
 .
   * New upstream release.
   * Note that types PgInt2 and PgInt8 have been removed, and are replaced by
     int and long instead.
   * Removed warnings for the python2.4/PgInt2/float comparison error, since
     this problem is no longer present (see above).
   * PgVersion is now more robust, and can handle devel/alpha/beta versions of
     PostgreSQL (closes: #219862).
   * Included patch again for CVE-2006-2314 (see below), which has not yet
     entered upstream.
   * Changed build system to use dh_python; build-depends on python accordingly.
   * Bumped standards-version to 3.7.2.0 (no changes required).
 .
 python-pgsql (2.4.0-8) unstable; urgency=high
 .
   * In routines PgQuoteString() and PgQuoteBytea(), quotes are now escaped
     as '', not as \' (closes: #369250). In some multi-byte encodings you
     can exploit \' escaping to inject SQL code, and so \' no longer works
     for such client encodings with newer PostgreSQL servers. Thanks to
     Martin Pitt for the patch.
   * Reference: CVE-2006-2314.
 .
 python-pgsql (2.4.0-7) unstable; urgency=low
 .
   * Added support for python 2.4 (closes: #326159).
   * Dropped support for python 2.1 and 2.2 (closes: #337412).
   * Added warnings regarding the PgInt2/float comparison failure under
     python2.4.
   * Switched from debhelper compatibility level 3 to 5 (updated
     build-depends, no other changes required).
   * Bumped standards-version to 3.6.2.2 (no changes required).
