Establishing Lubuntu Developers

Hello,
After discussing our current developer workload versus the number of
Lubuntu contributors with upload access, in addition to people who I
would consider qualified candidates to upload to Lubuntu packages, the
Lubuntu Council would like to propose the delegation of `lubuntu`
packageset upload permissions to the `~lubuntu-dev` team. We would like
this to function the same way as Kubuntu Developers currently function
at the moment, and have drafted a proposal[1] for the process on the
Lubuntu Wiki. The major difference between the two pages is that we
decided to list resources for Prospective Lubuntu Developers (which is
on my TODO list for Ubuntu Developers anyway; if I'm missing something
on that page, please let me know).
The short of it is, a quorum of Lubuntu Developers will have voting
rights on an individual's application to become a Lubuntu Developer. If
affirmatively voted on, the Lubuntu Council would then add that
individual to the team, granting them upload permissions.
I have removed everyone from ~lubuntu-dev besides the Ubuntu Core
Developers Team, myself, and the Lubuntu Council (which is temporary).
If this is approved, since we no longer have contact with Julien
Lavergne, I am going to file an RT to transfer ownership to a
(nonexistent as of right now) ~lubuntu-dev-owner team, like Kubuntu
Developers, and then remove ~lubuntu-council from the team.
I have added this to the next DMB meeting; we are more than happy to
take any questions over email but one (or more) Lubuntu Council members
will attend.
