[Bug 95450] Image Viewer 'Couldn't access deleted items folder'

Steps to reproduce:
1) Open an image in Image Viewer (EOG) that ISN'T in the /home sub-tree 
2) Try to delete that image with the delete key, or from the Edit menu
3) Observe the error  'Couldn't access deleted items folder', and that the image is not deleted

EOG will delete images in my home directory, but on any mounted
directory it doesn't seem to be able to. gThumb is able to delete (move
to deleted items) the very same images that EOG can't delete.

Testing platform: Ubuntu Edgy 6.10
