Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gaim

When gaim is started without a window (only in the notification area)
the startup notification seems to take way too long compared to when
gaim is started with the buddy window open.

To reproduce: When gaim is running, close the buddy window and click
quit from the menu in the notification area. Start gaim and see how long
the "Starting Gaim Internet Messenger" and the busy mouse pointer is
displayed.

This is on feisty.
