[Bug 90629] gedit doesn't properly import the clipboard

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gedit

If I select some text in for example putty and press shift-insert in a
gedit-session the wrong clipboard information is pasted (wrong=old).

If I on the other hand do the shift-insert in gterminal-window the
current clipboard is correctly pasted.

gedit 2.17.6, gterminal 2.17.92, putty Jan 30 2007.
