I can reproduce this, but I think the problem is wider than just moving
forward / backwards with the panel icon.

It happens to me all the time, where Rhythmbox will finish playing one
song, move to the next and sit at 0:00. It thinks it is playing, but
time does not move and sound is not heard. Skipping to other tracks
sometimes kick starts it again.

quinnman, if you use the slider to skip to a second into the song when
it is 'hung' does it start to play?
