[Bug 80438] Re: gedit takes 1 minute to open

ok, this is on edgy and not on every installation. i could locate where
the problem is. If the "File Browser Pane" plugin is installed and
activated, gedit will check some files fom the recently used files list
(also remote files) on start up, thus delaying it badly.

enabling the plugin turns gedit into the slick and lighweight editor i
would like to have.
