[Bug 82473] bad gconf keys breaks printing

Binary package hint: evolution

After a recent aptitude dist-upgrade on feisty, I can no longer print
emails from evolution (printing from other gnome apps seemsto work).
Attempts to print generate the following message:

Type mismatch: Expected `string' got `int' for key /apps/evolution/shell/n_copies
Type mismatch: Expected `string' got `bool' for key /apps/evolution/shell/collate
Type mismatch: Expected `string' got `int' for key /apps/evolution/shell/print_pages
Type mismatch: Expected `string' got `int' for key /apps/evolution/shell/page_set
Type mismatch: Expected `string' got `bool' for key /apps/evolution/shell/reverse
Type mismatch: Expected `string' got `int' for key /apps/evolution/shell/page_ranges
Type mismatch: Expected `string' got `int' for key /apps/evolution/shell/n_copies
Type mismatch: Expected `string' got `bool' for key /apps/evolution/shell/collate
Type mismatch: Expected `string' got `int' for key /apps/evolution/shell/print_pages
Type mismatch: Expected `string' got `int' for key /apps/evolution/shell/page_set
Type mismatch: Expected `string' got `bool' for key /apps/evolution/shell/reverse
Type mismatch: Expected `string' got `int' for key /apps/evolution/shell/page_ranges

I tried to set the variable types in gconf-editor but apparently such
actions are not enabled via gconf-editor.  Also looked in
.gconf/apps/evolution/shell for the above keys but didn't see them in
%gconf.xml.

This wholly new problem arose after a recent update in which evolution
and about 200 other programs were updated; not sure if the bug comes
from evo or from one of the others (don't have a record of the update,
unlessit's hiding somewhere I don't knowabout).
