Public bug reported:

Not sure if it started along time ago or only when I noticed, but when I login it delays a random amount of time for certain applications that load at login. For example: network-manager-gnome and power-manager none others that I notice.
I notice this as the splash screen doesn't go away. When I was at home and never on the road it never mattered to me. But when the need of network manager and powermanager to control the brightness of my screen on battery power, I need it bad now.

My current work around is disabling the splash screen. It lets me work
and setup before my connections start with network-manager.

I tried finding log informatino and watching for programs that were busy durring that time. But see nothing.
Any ideas how to track this thing and find the problem application? The to aplications use dbus... could that be the issue?

** Affects: gnome-desktop (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
