I don't know focus mode.

I am using gnome standard.

Windows Manager is standard or default ubuntu (gnome!!)

In feisty same problem.

I am open file manager and then openoffice or acrobar reader ---> focus
is bad. only blinking (las program open)

I am open calculator (tool) and then open openffice -> focus is ok.
