[Bug 81420] [apport] xchat-gnome hung after network outage

After my network uplink went down (I brought the interface down/up with
network-manager, and then clicked through a hotel authentication page),
I found xchat-gnome still running, but not redrawing its window.  strace
showed it in the following loop:

I sent it a SIGSEGV so that apport would collect a core and other
information (attached).
