Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gaim

When starting GAIM while already having another instance of GAIM
running, the new instance of GAIM disconnects the old instance MSN
connections.

While is isn't GAIMs fault, it's pointless to support multiple
instances. GAIM supports having multiple accounts in a single instance,
so there is absolutely no need for multiple instances.

Of course, I just shouldn't start it twice, right... But some users
(like my mom) sometimes do, and when that happens they are hit by a
confusing 'Disconnected' dialog.

GAIM should see if it is already running on startup, and abort if it is
already running and maybe restore the GAIM window if it is minimized.

** Affects: gaim (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
