[Bug 80743] archive an archive error

Public bug reported:

all i did was try to create an archive (zip file) and then i got an
error saying that it cannot create an archive of an archive.. i close
the error and a bug report comes up (down below) i cannot access
anything unless its an icon on my desktop, any panels dont work neither
does the good ol' alt+f2.. any help would be appreciated, i really dont
want to have to reformat
