If you do not want to wait for the fix to reach backports, you can grab
the package from here: http://diego.aureal.com.pe/archives/2006/11/30
/epiphany-patched-packages-edgy/ (download the first deb and install it
with dpkg -i package.deb). Guess that deb has been built by the same
Diego posting the diff here.
