[Bug 79576] System Menu options dissapear

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome

A few minutes after an install I changed the System->Preferences menu to
include File Management and Multimedia Selector, with the Menu Editor
under System->Preferences . When I checked back they were the only
option present.
