Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: evolution

When entering a new local contact in Evolution v2.8.1 Contact Editor,
the birthday field has its 'year' component automatically, and wrongly,
adjusted if its prior to 1st January 1969.

Ubuntu Edgy Eft i386 32-bit. UK English locale.

I entered my birthday (1st June 1965) "1/6/1965" in the Personal
Information > Birthday field. Evolution refused to accept the 4-digit
year, so I entered it as "1/6/65". When I checked the date by clicking
the calendar widget, it had set it to "1/6/2065".

I tried editing the date but again it wouldn't accept a 4-digit value,
so I entered "1/1/70", clicked to bring up the calendar widget and
navigated back to 1st June 1965. I clicked on "1" in the month of "June
1965" and the widget closed.

The date appeared as "1/6/65" in the edit-box. When I clicked the
calendar widget again the date had been set to "1/6/2065".

** Affects: evolution (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
