Please get a hal debugging output as described on the second half of
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingRemovableDevices; let it run through a
lock/unlock screen cycle, then let it run for some more time so that it
can collect several cycles of brightness changes, then stop it with
Control-C. Please attach the log afterwards. Thank you!
