I have the exact same behavior as oleibrock with a brand new LG GSA-H22L
DVD writer.  When I first insert the burnt DVD-R I get "this is a blank
CD/DVD" popup and in dmesg I see: "cdrom: This disc doesn't have any
tracks I recognize!"

Then I run the python script and manually mount the drive to
/media/cdrom1 and then I can access it fine.  If I don't run the script
and I try to mount then the mount point remains empty.
