[Bug 77862] program crash on startup

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-volume-manager

When I started 6.10 Ubuntu my HP Pavilion N5495 froze at the splash
screen.  I restarted the laptop and was granted an opportunity to report
a bug.  I am uncertain as to what was running at the time.
