[Bug 77763] alacarte dies while editing existing shortcuts

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: alacarte

1. A given Menu Tree had 4 entries. (Geany,Notecase,Kompare,Textpad).
2. Edited notecase --> display-name and executablename : to knowit (since I had removed notecase and installed knowit)
3. The OK button was not available. On clicking the Close button, changes did not register
4. Went to Kompare shortcut - edited display name to compare and pressed ok. That change got saved.
5. Came back to Notecase - again tried to rename the shortcut as well as the executable.
This time bug buddy came up.
