Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: hal

Why does the hal-device-manager depend on hwdb-client-gnome? After
collecting information about the system and submitting to the database,
the application hwdb-client-gnome and it's dependencies are no longer
needed, but I cannot remove this due to hal-device-manager depending on
this. Please remove the need for the hwdb-client-gnome to be installed
on the system after it's use. It's just another item growing the
overall size of the distribution.
