[Bug 83044] cursor is a rotating wheel after screensaver exits

Public bug reported:

After xscreensaver exits because I press a key, the cursor on the gnome
desktop is not an arrow, but a rotating wheel.  It turns back to an
arrow if I run an application from one of the menus.
