Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: rhythmbox

Playing an audio cd using rhythmbox's `cdda' playback facility seems to
have the cd drive spin with (standard) maximum speed. Entering ``sudo
hdparm -E 4 /dev/cdrom'' the noise from the cd drive was tremendously
reduced while the playback continued just fine. This is with the
current Feisty 0.9.7-2ubuntu1 version. I'm not sure if the Edgy version
didn't actually do somthing similar to what I described above, as I
can't remember hearing my cd drive's spinning noise with that older
version.

** Affects: rhythmbox (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
