[Bug 62582] Frequency Scaling suddenly unsupported (Pentium-M)

Binary package hint: gnome-applets

In Ubuntu 6.06 The Frequency scaling worked quite nice, and the system
automatically adjusted the frequency according to the apps I use. After
a dist-upgrade (i use edgy now) the Applet says

"Frequency scaling unsupported" and the cpu speed is at 1.6 GHz freezed
(maximum speed) (it shows 100%)

Kernel: 2.6.17-10-386
CPU Frequency Scaling Monitor: 2.16.0.1
