Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-cups-manager

I tried to add a printer using the menus System/Administration/Printing
but it failed time after time. I checked out a number of things and
finally I ran the gnome-cupsys-add manually and the same thing happend
but I saw that the application asked for a password on the terminal(!)
not through the normal dialog. Aha, so I entered my password to the
application. Same thing happens. So I tried to run the application with
sudo. Sucess!! My Epson Photo R300 printer is now fully functional from
Firefox at least.

** Affects: gnome-cups-manager (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
