I don't think that the fix has been backported to Dapper yet. It has been put in place for Edgy though. My success report for for the deb listed in Dave's comment above on my Dapper system. -- Cairo and ATI RENDER extension cause scrambled buttons in UbuntuLooks https://launchpad.net/bugs/34435
