This is on Ubuntu Edgy with Rhythmbox 0.9.5-1ubuntu5. I can't confirm the condition under an EXT3 file system at this time since I don't have a music collection accessible from Windows on an EXT FS. -- Rhythmbox doesn't notice changes in library https://launchpad.net/bugs/60434
