No, it disables the hardware accelerated repeat case for render (you
can't do this config options) .... it leaves the more-used blend case
alone, I'm sure we might get this fixed for Xorg 7.2 if we get the
chance, but the safest thing for dapper is just to fallback to software
rendering for the repeat case.
