[Bug 59245] When installing ubuntu 6.06 dual boot Win XP I had problems partitioning free space for ubuntu

Binary package hint: gparted

I installed Ubuntu on a thinkpad t23. When partitioning the free space
on the drive, I kept getting an error creating a 8GB ext3 for / on hda2
and a 512MB partition on dha3 for swap. I ended up booting the Gnu
partitioning disk to create these two partitions and formatting them.
Installation went fine from there.
