[Bug 59066] System does not boot anymore

Public bug reported:

Since upgrading to edgy my system isn't booting anymore. Appearently the new UUID things don't work (I wonder how they should since I'm using a software raid 1 /dev/md0). I can boot 2.6.15 by editing the grub options.
Booting 2.6.17 fails miserably - I just get a messed screen when attemting to boot - perhaps usplash is broken?
