Fixed perhaps but not totally. Ubuntu failed to enter suspended mode when run out of battery and crashed. On reboot, bonobo would refuse to work, printing in a dialog the same error message as above, and asking to remove applets that "don't work".
Any clues how to restore the bonobo server? It was working just fine!
Powerpc here as well.
