Please re-open this bug.

I've experienced the same thing, with apparently the same cause:
selecting "Extract Here" on an ISO file in Nautilus. I've no idea why
this would cause gnome-panel to crash, but it seems the common link:

I'm attaching a bug-buddy report (I installed gnome-panel-dbg).

The worst thing is I can't seem to find any way to fix it: removing
~/.gconf and ~/.gnome2 has no effect, and nor does reinstalling gnome-
panel and gnome-panel-data. Any suggestions would be much appreciated...
