I have edgy. I've read somewhere that gnome 2.16 have done a cleanup of
unmaintained themes. But the theme manager still have Esco, Atlanta,
AgingGorilla, Crux, Raleigh, Redmond and Thinice. I think those themes
should also be left to be installed as extras.

I also suggest that themes should be modularized, so gnome-themes should
only be a metapackage of those moduled themes. It's easier to add/remove
default theme packages that will come with Ubuntu.

It's like,  for example,

clearlooks-theme
gtk2-engines-clearlooks

highcolor-theme
gtk2-engines-highcolor

industrial-theme
gtk2-engines-industrial

etc..

so gnome-themes would easily be defined what comes and what doesn't.
