In my case the keyboards does not repeats forever. Actually it just
seems to be very very very sensible.
If i press really quick and soft a key I can get only one occurance.

I do think this is a X or gdm bug, not console. When I reboot the
keyboard works ok, but when I turn on the computer (after shoutdown) 
the bug is back.
