Sorry for the delay but it's still there.

It's not shown on the desktop anymore but it's still mounted:
$ mount

/dev/sda12 on /media/bootstrap type hfs
(rw,nosuid,nodev,uid=1000,gid=1000)

I'm not sure it's the right place but in :
/usr/share/hal/scripts/hal-system-storage-mount
pmount is called before the test of
$HAL_PROP_VOLUME_IGNORE
