[Bug 66845] gnome-nettool window does not repaint correctly when avahi hostname is used.

Public bug reported:

When I ping a computer with gnome-nettool using avahi hostname
(pepito.local) instead of IP dirs, gnome-nettool window does not repaint
correctly for several seconds. It seems to be frozen.

With a terminal, ping responds immediately.

Bug is in dapper and edgy current versions of gnome-nettool.
