[Bug 37910] Unable to umount my USB memory stick

Public bug reported:

I have a memory stick with 2 ext3 partitions on it. When I eject one
partition using Nautilus, both partitions are umounted. But then, the
light on my memory stick blink one time and then stay on as if it was
mounted. If I try to mount the memory stick using Nautilus right-click
menu, it gives me an error message. I have to remove my memory stick
from the USB port, then insert it back for it to mount my partitions.

If this behavior is normal, I would suggest 2 things :
1- Do not provide power to the memory stick. If ths light is off, you know it is not suppose to work... As when we eject a peripheral in Windows, it should turn off the light on the memory stick.
2- Remove the mount function in the right-click menu in Nautilus. In fact, if the device completly dissapear from Nautilus, no need to fix the right-click menu. And if you do as stated in my first suggestion, you won't need to take care of this one.
