Public bug reported:
Suggestion Only:
When I check hidden files in home folder, there are many many ".XXXXX"
folders and files, which is annoying. I think they are all configuration
files. Why not put them in a .etc folder? So the home folder will be
neat, resulting in the following structure:
~/
~/.etc
~/.etc/XXX1
~/.etc/XXX2
...
~/Documents
~/Musics
...
Then if an average user by mistake opens the 'hidden file' button will
not be too annoyed and surprised. Maybe we can go one step further to
use ".configurations" instead of ".etc", so that even the users who do
not know common terminologies of Linux will not be startled. :)
I know things like this will cause lots of work. Just a suggestion.
