[Bug 64843] network-admin does not show or save gateway address

I'm trying to use network-admin to set a static IP address for my
ethernet card, and it does not show the gateway address when you load
it. If you enter one, and try to save it, it doesn't report an error,
but the address is not saved.

After installing a fresh copy of Edgy, I tried to change from DHCP to
static using network-admin but the only lines it saved in
/etc/network/interfaces were:

auto eth0
iface eth0 inet static
address 10.8.8.2
netmask 255.255.255.0
