Public bug reported:
In Feisty:
All the applications from the menu that require root privileges are using gksu instead of gksudo. gksu requires the root password instead of the password of the user who is in the sudoers file. Until this is changed, none of those programs can be run from the menu because the root password is unknown.
** Affects: gnome-panel (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: Unconfirmed
