[Bug 73124] "image collection" should be on the left side not bottom.

When I display the image collection pane, it shows up at the bottom of
the window. Usability wise I found it quite bad, I find the more usual
arrangment of having it vertically on the left, causes less eye strain,
it's more confortable.

Also, having the thumbnails at the bottom, wastes a lot of vertical space, which causes the selected picture to be displayed significantly smaller than it could, were the list on the left side instead
This is even more true with modern "wide screen"  monitors, where vertical space is even more limited, compared to 4/3 monitors of the same diagonal.
