[Bug 72632] Panel crashed after FTP - Connect

Public bug reported:

I've tried to connect to my university's ftp-server with username and
password authentication. when i do the same with gFTP it works, but in
gnome itself nautilus and gnome-panel crash before i get an password
dialogue.
