[Bug 71837] Fatal error on Palm during synchronization with Evolution

I actually use Edgy 6.10 on my laptop. When I try to synchronize my Sony Clie PDA with Evolution, the PDA gives an fatal error. This is either when I use the /dev/pilot or the dev/ttyUSB1 setting in gnome-pilot. 
Parallel to this, the gnome-Pilot applet comes up on the screen several time (sometime up to 6 times) when I press the hot-sync button on the PDA.
When I use jpilot with the same setup (dev/ttyUSB1 or dev/ttyUSB1) all works fine but unfortunately, jpilot does not synchronize with evolution.
