  I am using a OpenPGP smartcard to sign and encrypt my mails. Evolution
  calls gpg which then calls the gpg-agent from gnupg2. If the smartcard
  PIN is not yet cached in the gpg-agent, it opens pinentry-gtk-2 to
  request it.
  
  If Evolution is started, pinentry opens for a second, and then closes
  again, and the application that wants to use gpg gives back an error
  about being unable to access the card. This also applies if evolution is
  just started in the background, and I invoke gpg manually.
