In gnome-system-tools 2.15.5-0ubuntu2 on Edgy the "Activate" and "Deactivate" buttons have been removed from network-admin.
You have a checkbox next to the interface and the "Enable this connection" in the interface settings dialog.
This make it very confusing to deactivate or activate an interface, one would expect that the interface is deactivated when removing the "Enable this connection" tick in the settings dialog. Instead this results in the interface being deconfigured (configuration information removed from /etc/network/interfaces).
I liked the "Activate" and "Deactivate" buttons, please get them back and use additional symbols on icons for activated and deactivated connections.
I agree with Wouter that the configured checkbox ("Enable this connection") isn't necessary and that settings should always be kept for a connection. The concept that configuration information can be removed from a configuration file by removing a tick from a checkbox is difficult to understand for most people.

In Edgy the "Enable this connection" should at least be renamed to a
better description like "Configure this connection".
