[Bug 70474] Poweroff kinda powers off...

Public bug reported:

My system will not power-off totally, everything seems to shutdown, I can even hear the HD powerdown... but the system stops at the shutting down screen graphic from usplash.
I hit the power and it shuts off then.  This may be related to the other bug I have posted. But doubt it, as this didn't happen in Dapper but does in edgy.
